PRESS RELEASE
Skillpod, a New Zealand-based eLearning company, has been nominated for a prestigious international learning award – the Learning Technology Organisation of the Year.
The Learning Technologies Awards are the most independent and sought-after awards in the industry. They recognise the commitment, enthusiasm and passion for learning technologies across the world.
Of the 10 nominees in the Learning Technology Organisation of the Year category, Skillpod was the only nominee based in the Southern Hemisphere.
Being recognised for delivering a product that helps businesses overcome the difficulties they are facing highlights the importance of continuous learning in the workplace. It reflects on the quality of workplace learning in New Zealand with Skillpod sitting alongside recognised European organisations like Growth Engineering, Intuition, Learning Pool and Solvd Together.
Skillpod makes learning and growth in the workplace accessible to everyone. Kim Dovey, founder and director of Skillpod says “We believe it shouldn’t be only the large companies with big budgets and L&D teams who can support their people to grow”.
“Skillpod helps organisations overcome training challenges in the workplace through a library of industry-leading e-learning templates”. These are available for clients to purchase and make their own through fully tailorable options. Workplace learning activities are embedded into the modules to bring learning into the real world.
The Learning Technologies Awards nomination is not the first recognition the company has received. It was awarded best compliance and skill-based learning programme in the 2022 New Zealand Association for Training and Development Awards in Wellington earlier this year.
The Learning Technologies Awards took place in London on November 16 2022.
